Data Deletion Request

1. Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request the permanent deletion of all personal data we hold about you, as guaranteed by Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

This page explains exactly how to submit your request, what data will be deleted, and the timeline we follow.

2. How to Submit a Deletion Request

To request the deletion of your data, send an email to contato@techeducation.com.br with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.

Use the template below as the body of your email. Replace the bracketed fields with your own information.

I am writing to formally request the deletion of all personal data associated with my Vera account.

I understand that this action is irreversible and that, upon deletion:
- My account will be permanently closed.
- All plant photos, plant collection data, and care schedules will be deleted.
- I will lose access to any active subscription benefits.

3. What Gets Deleted

Upon a confirmed deletion request, we will permanently erase:

  • Your account credentials (name, email, and password hash)
  • All plant photos you uploaded or captured in the App
  • Your plant collection and all associated data
  • Your weekly care schedules and task history
  • Your subscription record (managed billing data remains with Google Play)
  • Usage analytics data linked to your account

Your account will be permanently closed and you will lose access to the App, including any remaining subscription period.

4. Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days. Your data will be fully and permanently deleted within 30 days of your request being confirmed. We will send you a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

5. Exceptions — Data We Must Retain

In some cases, we may be required by law to retain certain data even after a deletion request. This includes:

  • Financial and tax records related to subscription payments, as required by Brazilian fiscal law (typically 5 years).
  • Data required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legitimate investigation.

Retained data will be restricted to the minimum necessary and will not be used for any other purpose.

6. Subscription Cancellation

A data deletion request does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. If you have an active or trial subscription, please cancel it directly through the Google Play Store before or alongside your deletion request to avoid future charges.

Google Play subscription cancellations are governed by the Google Play refund and cancellation policy.
